The second of four Gospels in the Bible is authored by John
"Mark" written between approximately A.D. 55-A.D.65.
This is the same Mark that accompanied Paul on his first
missionary journey in Acts
13:13. He begins with John the Baptist preaching and then
moves into Jesus ,as a servant to many, ministering to the
needs of others even to the point of death. After Jesus'
death, His resurrection follows and Jesus commissions His
followers with the Great Commission found in chapter 16:14-18.
Out of the four Gospels, this one is the shortest but contains
the most events and is the most chronological. This book is
action packed. The main city Mark focuses on is Galilee, where
Jesus began His ministry. Capernaum, Bethsaida, Gennesaret,
Tyre, Sidon, Caesarea Philippi and Jerusalem are the other key
places Mark focuses on in this Gospel.
God's Word never ceases to amaze us as He reveals to us the
things He wants us to know. Our prayer for you is that you
have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior!
